Monday, January 9, 2012 One of the girls made an exceptionally important point today: "If we carry on aiming to better ourselves insyaAllah we will naturally prove that perception wrong. Then we will prove them wrong not because we want to but because we can." ^ that was such a poignant reminder to me, to us collectively too of course. In my honest opinion, I have always thought that when people make baseless assumptions, well, just ignore. Or what I used to say flippantly, "just fuck it". Now I see it in a completely different perspective though. There is definitely a need to question how + from where + why those assumptions were made in the first place. Only because that will naturally lead to a necessary process of self-reflection. And only then, one can come to terms with those seemingly baseless assumptions or perceptions thus dealing with all of it in the best possible way. It's simply almost impossible (I say almost cause you know, nothing is impossible) to alter or change completely the way others choose to perceive us. What one chooses to believe, what one chooses to see, however a person perceives anything - is exasperating for others to change. So we move along.  
            Ah... I did get the perfect end to a fulfilling semester break that I've had these past few weeks. Good times filled with beautiful memories safely kept deep inside my ♥.
Now it's time to get through another whole semester of school xx |
